Celebrate Wisconsin’s recreational boating significance.

Dennis Evinrude was born in Waukesha County on January 4, 1951. Due to a natural aptitude, he was attracted to all things mechanical early in life. His lifelong vocation was managing Ausblick Ski Resort in Sussex, Wisconsin for 54 years. During that time, he also operated an auto repair facility for 10 years. He found time to play with a 1969 AMX and started collecting Vintage Outboard Motors becoming active in the Antique Outboard Motor Club, Inc. (www.aomci.org) He started driving motorcycles in 1967 and only recently stopped. He has visited every US state except Oregan and Alaska. Other “Bucket List” type activities accomplished are becoming a private pilot, diving 500 feet to the ocean floor in a 20 ft. long submarine, riding a helicopter to the wettest spot on earth and visiting his grandmother’s relatives in Norway. He is also quite grateful to be a cancer survivor.
